I try to make the blues my business whenever I am on the road for my day job--my latest visit to Washington, D.C. was no different. My research begins with a click to the local blues society's web site that I find through The Blues Foundation. On the D.C. Blues Society website, I found an all-ages benefit show on October 7th at Potter's House, DC's oldest coffee house that's celebrating its 45th anniversary with a series of live music and spoken word events called Sounds of Hope on Friday nights in the Adams-Morgan neighborhood. |
